River cruise

I always believed I have remained the same
Through time and tide
Through thick and thin
Eternally bona fide
Changing no colours of my skin
Perhaps a bit unwise, perhaps a bit lame.

Drifted away have I from the course long ago
Thought I had stuck
May be I was wrong
May be I missed luck
May be I dumped the throng
Far away its trail is, taking a different course of flow.

Cruising have all us been, or rather creating such an impression
Destination far from sight
Saving no cause for delight
But still I hope I might
Succeed in taking the first flight
Crossing all boundaries, surviving chances of regression.

  1. It might be a daunting task to tread the untrodden,
And it might be unnerving to speak of the unspoken,
    Its your own will,
    Your perseverance; still
You wont turn the time wheel,
The path of life has its own surprises,
And then one by one things will shed their guises.

Its the subtle changes that come and go by,
And you move on and on,one step at a time,
    With every step you take,
    And every move you make,
Though it might feel the same,
The path of life has its twists and turns,
That will take you to the zenith of your game.
